Florida Water Services (FWS) maintains a package waste water treatment plant. The plant was experiencing leaks due to cracks in concrete. Because of the need for consistent bypassing, a fast set and cure material was required. Polyurea was selected because of the fast setup & cure time, along with its proven history in the water & wastewater environment. The plant de-sluged and water blasted. Cracks were repaired and a solvent free primer was applied as required as was 80 mils of polyurea. Plant passed inspection and was back on line causing no interruption to customers in area and reducing the amount of bypassing saving FWS time and money.
